About this project:
Marisco Vineyards is a family-owned and operated, award-winning Marlborough wine producer and home to iconic wine brand The Ned. At Marisco their passion for winemaking is deeply rooted in the diverse terroirs of New Zealand’s renowned Marlborough region. With five distinct vineyards under their stewardship, they’ve embarked on an extraordinary journey to craft exceptional wines that reflect the unique characteristics of each site.
When Marisco came to us they weren’t happy with the ecommerce management of their old site. We developed a Shopify site, taking advantage of the excellent user-friendly platform, so their staff could easily manage orders and general supply.
While the design of their new site didn’t stray too far from their original site, Mata Digital had to customise, code, and integrate on multiple levels to achieve Marisco’s vision. These in-depth measures we took were needed to really cultivate Marisco’s vision which lay outside of Shopify’s capabilities. Building and coding custom features outside of Shopify’s native theme and getting that Marisco feel and uniqueness was a challenge we thoroughly enjoyed.
